Class at Laconia

Extra Credit Film Screening: The Pianist
An extra credit film screening will be held on Wednesday, April 13th. The film "The Pianist" will be shown in order to supplement in-class material on the Holocaust.
Viewing the film and writing an historical film review will net students the opportunity to earn up to 5 extra credit points on the unit 4 test. Directions on how to write the film review will be discussed and distributed in class, immediately before the screening begins.
The screening will last from 3:45 until approximately 6:20pm. It is expected that students view the screening in its entirety, are attentive and are taking notes throughout the film. Any variance from this behavior will result in expulsion from screening. It is fine if you would like to bring food and/or beverages to the screening.

Film reviews are due and will be collected Wednesday, April 20th.
Class Updates
I hope everyone is having a great break so far. Please check the Home Access Center periodically for grade updates. So far, the Podcast projects are great. Here are some general updates:
The extra credit value for completing all unit 5 guided readings will be 40 homework points.
The due date for the Band of Brothers film review will be Friday, April 15th.
The "History in Pop Culture" due date has been moved to Monday, May 16th.
